About Candids on Canvas

  Lora Ann Fagen, we all call her “Lori”, a native of Newton, Illinois.  She married Travis in June 1994 and they have two boys, Cole and Drew.  Lori resides in Springtown, Texas.  Lori’s love for painting began with paint by numbers kits when she was eight years old.  Her talents grew taking art classes in high school.  After three years of straight A’s, Mr. Jones, a school counselor, asked her to paint a mural of ships on the ocean in his office.  During her senior year, Lori was asked to paint the backdrop for the senior prom.  The theme was “Stairway to Heaven”.  She took the line from the song “There’s a Bird who sings by the brook” and realistically displayed it on canvas.  Actually it was butcher paper and temper paints, but it was perfect.  As time went on she dabbled with paints and sketches just for family and friends.  She always knew it was what she was born to do with her God given talent.
